I have a question.

I just traded in my 2012 f350 for a 2014 f450.

I have the 109003 on my 2012. I was going to order an new H&S Tuner but I see that on some of the Diesel Performance sites are selling the 109003 for 11-14s.

I went to the H&S site and see that there are two different tunes 11-12s (Tune Version 6.7.34 Aug. 5, 2013) and 13-14s (Tune Version 6.8.14 Apr. 30, 2014).

Would I be able to just flash the new 6.8.14?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Do you have an unlock code for the new truck? The tuner is tied to the VIN of the original truck. Without a new unlock code, the tuner is useless to any other truck. I don't know about the the tunes as I haven't researched them, but I am almost positive the 109003 (or original Race Tuner) would only tune an '11 or '12. Unless something has changed. I'm not aware of how to contact H&S to get an unlock code as they have no phone number listed now and tech support has gone off line. Sorry...likely not what you wanted to hear.

You could try calling some of the diesel tuning shops and see if they can unlock it. Good luck

 

It is unlocked for the 2012.

I will have to contact one of the tuner folks.

I'm certain the unlock code is for that VIN only...I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. We are all kind of suck for the time being.

If you cant use the tuner on your 14, and it can be reprogrammed to another vin, say a 11, would you consider selling it?

 

WK15, you need to contact Rudy's, they will be able to get you squared away for what you need to do. Even if that tuner is locked, they can unlock it for you, pretty sure they got a guy in-house that figured all the stuff out with the tuners.

 

I contacted Rudy's. The tuner is currently locked to my vin. Once I flash the truck back to stock, I was told that it will then become unlocked. If it does not work then I will just sell the 109003.

Yes That is all you have to do. Once you set it back to stock you will be able to use it on your 2014. I done it myself going from a 2012 to a 2014. I also have a leftover UNLOCKED H&S Mini Max for a 11-14. I could not use it on my 2015 so I installed a SCT on my 2015 with 5in turbo back exhaust. It sounds a little different then 2012 and 2013. I am assuming it is because the different turbo. Not sure but I am enjoying it....

Yes I do. I was typing to fast earlier it is for a 2011-2012. It is off of my buddies 2012. He bought a 2014 and had to upgrade.
