Ok, check voltage to the fuel pump relay while performing the fuel system test. . .use subfords wiring diagrams to help. Voltage to the relay indicates a bad relay as the problem. No voltage, bad ecm relay, faulty wiring circuit, bad ecm.
So quick question and I'm gonna feel real stupid which relay is which color? I just tried to jump 2 terminals to get the fuel pump to run and by pass relay and my lights came on so which one?
itll tell you on the little shroud that houses the relays. im not positive, and Im not around the truck to look, but I believe the fuel pump relay is green or grey and the ecm relay is black.
best place to go is the jy and just collect as many relays as you can. wont be easy, relays get picked pretty quick, but you should find some.
Yep I did that one already and all of the relays are broken out of their shroud. It says fuel eec and trailer tow
bust out the volt meter, while conducting the fuel pump test, and confirm power to either then jump from the power wire to the fuel pump feed. look back at subford's diagrams to see if there is an indication of fuel pump wire color there. you could jump all of them from the hot wire one at a time while conducting the fuel pump test....
I would venture to say the trailer tow relay (which I don't have so I don't know what it is) is the one that controlled your lights when jumped.
