Upgrade projects for F350
So I bought my first diesel after being a truck owner for most of my adult life and I widh I would hav e done it years ago. I picked up a used 2011 crew cab long box and I'm getting friendly with parking in the back of the lot in 2 spots.
Issues I'm having is that I picked up the build spec sheet from my local dealer and found out that there are items that came on the truck that aren't on it anymore and other things that I am finding that are partially there. Examples are there are back up sensors wired in on the rear bumper but it didn't come from the factory that way, it rolled off the factory floor with power extendible mirrors but the controls don't look correct, power inverter that it came with is no where to be found.
First thing that I want to do is get a new leather steering wheel with volume control because vinyl wheel is starting to delaminate. I tried to purchase one from after market outfit but they wouldn't guarantee that it would work.
With all of there discrepancies I don't know where to start checking to see if any upgrades are possible.
Any and all advice is welcome.
Thanks

do the backup sensors work? If not then maybe the previous owner wrecked the rear bumper and bought one a takeoff bumper and it just happened to have the sensors.
My wife's '12 F150 has a 110 plug in built into the back of the center console, does yours have one there? Maybe that is what Ford refers to as an inverter.
I can't help you with the power mirrors since I don't have them.

The bumper does have the sensors wired and I believe I found the sensor control module when I looked behind and to the right of the glove box once I flipped it down. There is no alarm chime as far as I can tell and there is no switch to disable the sensors. The speaker for the sensors is around $10 but not sure where to start if I picked one up. I thought about having someone that wishes me no harm to put the truck in reverse while I go around and see if anything goes hot on any of the sensors.
IDK what do you think?
Thanks for your help. Doc
