Friday for me this week doesn't mean anything... my "Friday" isn't until next Saturday. We're working all through this weekend. Time and a half tomorrow all day, and double time Sunday all day. Makes for a good paycheck, not so good on the sanity.
Good morning Iowa! I'm working 6 day weeks right now, until we shut the plant down April 3rd, for our refueling outage. Then I go to 6-12's. I'll be on Sundays also. Might as well, pays double time on Sundays. I here you on the sanity thing. We'll be shut down until the end of May. The novelty will definitively be gone by then!!
I used to work at a place that you could work 7 days a week if you wanted. By day 13, I was very ready for my one day off... I couldn't do the non-stop like some did. It was also double on Sundays.
I actually got a 3 day weekend, such as it is. Was on the road Friday morning for a figure skating competition for 5 pm in Glenview, Il. Then we went to the Museum of Science and Industry, then had to see the Bean right near Soldier Field... Got caught up in the Chicago Auto Show traffic, took almost 1 1/2 hrs to go 5 miles... Got home late last night, been lazy all day today. Back at it tomorrow.
Good morning Iowa, last Monday of February! Roger, sounds like a busy weekend. We used to work 7-12's during outages, but the NRC has made rules so we can only work 72 hours a week now. I hated those outages, I was a zombie after 3 weeks or so.
