My buddy who races out in CA just sent me a picture of 2.75 diesel and 1.87$ regular unleaded in Albq, NM..... dayum! 1.90 looks like the norm http://www.albuquerquegasprices.com/

Still 2.40ish regular and 3.40ish diesel anywhere on the front range in CO.... must be all that marijuana that has to be trucked out of this state.... Idiotic governers tax hikes as well.

I really hope it stays low, I remember when gas was .99C. I can't remember what diesel was though. I really hope these low prices stay for a while! Driving longer distances won't be so bad, and should bring down plane tickets for those who fly!

I'll have to read into that. More likely than naught, I'd drive anyway. Fix up the O2 sensors and coil pack on my car, and I'll be good to hook for a nice long relatively cheap road trip.

That article didn't take into the fact of meals and lodging. But, it hit the nail on the head about the mergers creating a monopoly by the airlines to set their prices where they want.

Well we always packed lunches in the cooler, and snacks. Driving alone in either vehicle, is plenty of room to rack out, and get a couple hours sleep. gotta love the bench seats in the truck, and power seats that recline all the way in the car. Planned right, meals would be relitively cheap.

My wife and I both decided that if we can drive there in 3 to 5 days we will do that before we ever step foot on an airline again. They can go to hell with their price gouging and you always get sat next to somebody who is way bigger than you and takes up all the room and usually doesn't smell that great anyway. My last two experiences flying, I said unless it's international, never ever ever again. Even if I have to be in my truck for 3 to 5 days, I can stop when I want to, go to the bathroom and I want to, listen to what I want to, and I don't have to deal with some a-hole next to me trying to elbow me and being too loud, snoring, and talking too much.
