The fellow obviously likes COEs. There is also another green '48-'50 Ford and a Chevy about the same vintage in the background of one of the photos. Cool truck, but that would be way beyond my capabilities and finances to restore.

Those Coleman axles look like they have a cast iron frying pan for a hub. Very beefy. Up to $4K now and climbing. Definitely a project but when was the last time you saw one? A first for me. I'd probably lose the boom, it looks too lightweight for the rest of the truck.
Seller did mention posting a parts truck too, maybe it's one of the trucks in the background.
Just got back from seeing it (them) firsthand.
The one for sale is very cool but requires way more time, money and expertise than I have! The Green COE is nice and has a flat 8.
He said that the Chevy COE was sold and while I was there the 1940 (I think) GMC bus was taken away for delivery.
I'd arm wrestle you for the bus, but I'm still recovering from that wretched open heart surgery and I'm afraid I'd lose. Some very cool trucks this guy has. In the depths of the last recession for us in construction there was a coleman '51 F3 with those cast iron domes beside the road in Mt. Vernon sitting on a trailer for sale. It took every ounce of everything I had in me not to knock on the door and inquire. One day it was gone. At the time I was glad......
Wow, forget about the truck I want the Bus! was it 4x4 as well. Looks HUGE next to the COE.
thanks for taking pictures for us
Me too!!!! Freaking awesome looking bus.
Although the two COE's are very cool too. The Coleman would be a lot of work though. I just need to win the lottery and hire some of you guys to help be restore things like these.
