What's the big problem? It doesn't take ***** to ride an escalator, but if they are there, ride it anyway!

U.S., Cuba to restore ties after 50 years of hostility | Reuters
I'm glad to see this. After 50 years, and what has become nothing more than a grudge, it is about time.
Now maybe we can see some of those classic cars repatriated, as well as enjoy a nice Cuban cigar on special occasions.

Digging around in my attic, and I find an A/C duct that was never connected to anything. Just sitting there open. They forgot to penetrate the ceiling with that outlet.
I wonder how much that has cost me over the last 11 years?

The answer to your question: A BUNCH!
It pays to inspect every "professional's" job.
They get PAID for doing it wrong!
I have soft, flexible ducting, and I kinda' worry that an end has fallen off or split somewhere, but as long as the apparent air pressure is still coming out of the ceiling register farthest from the unit, I don't go looking.
Maybe I SHOULD........

It might have been turned down into the insulation, so it wasn't a wide open leak. I can't be sure after my fumbling around up there. But that might also be why it was never noticed until now. I remember wondering why that was the only room that didn't have an outlet, and I assumed it was because they didn't want to disturb the tile ceiling. Now I know.
And they wonder why we do stuff ourselves.
