Transmission fluid capacity

Hey all,

Looking to see if anyone knows the fluid capacity on a 67 F250 automatic transmission. I can't seem to find the info on my own anywhere.

While I'm at it, has anyone had any experience with the Blue Devil transmission sealer?

Thanks!

Nuge

I'm guessing your transmission is a C-6 (?). If so, 7 quarts of type F transmission fluid.

If you're having to fill the torque converter too, about another 3.5 to 4 quarts.

Products that 'seal' leaks just have additives that swell the seals up. This is a band-aid fix. The only right way to fix a leak(s) is to replace the leaking seal(s).

You probably don't want to hear that since it's a lot less effort to pour some snake oil down the filler tube but, if you want to fix the problem and fix it right....

Fair enough, yeah. It actually sounds like it may either be the front or rear seal, OR I just overfilled it like a moron lol. It was dripping when I parked, but has since stopped now that the engine is cool. I'm going to pay attention to it for the next couple days and see what happens. Today is the first day it's really gotten hot while driving sooooo yay troubleshooting

Thanks!
