I have considered a roof unit, my concern is the lift system and roof being able to support it, or weather you could make necessary modifications to support it. Ill have to dig into that some more. That would definatly be the most ideal way to do it.
And by "it" I mean the restoration you have done to make that thing last another 37 years. Lol.

I would like to upgrade the electrical from 15 to 30 amp. There's open spots for breakers so I don't think that will be bad. I would like AC but I'm not sure how I want to go about it yet. I thought about adding some stuff for plumbing so I would have some water in the camper as well. When my parents had it they also removed the little stove I think I may Get one of them too. People give me a hard time because they don't think that's camping, but I don't see anything wrong with being comfortable while your away.
I agree 100%. If your hot, hungry, body aches, etc., there is absolutely nothing wrong with a little comfort. Last night it poured in our campground and the next morning some tents were in water. Now is that camping? LOL
It might work Bill. I moved a camper my folks had 35 years ago and I also was curious. Put power to it and it worked!

Ugh I've had a response typed out twice now. And the connection timed out. That's what happens when you live in the sticks
Tent in water would ruin it quick for me. You go to relax not work twice as hard to do tasks that would be simple at home. So anything you can do to make things easier and run smoother, I'm all for it.
I would be more surprised if that unit didn't work. They seem to be pretty stout. Just as long as you don't put 240 on them. Lol.

Aww man Gabe..that's as cold as the water was...
Head studs are done.man the final torque when inside an engine compartment .. That is a real good workout right there. I am glad to have that done. On to valve springs tomorrow night. Of I could get one head done tomorrow and ready for stix I could be installing fun stuff before you know it. Whoopie!

Thunder storms again tonight and before I hit the reply button I look up at my satellite modem to see if its still on line. Hate typing and losing it! When we started this camping stuff I told my wife I'm going to do everything possible to make it as comfortable as possible. Got most all the comforts of home except ROOM! LOL
Speaking of room, I can't believe what happened when I pulled into this campground. I reserved this site on line for starters but the guy at the gate told me to pull around to the office to get my site tag. IT WAS A PARKING LOT FOR CARS!!!! A camper ahead of me stopped blocking my way in so I was hanging out blocking traffic. He saw me and pulled to the other end of the small parking lot and I pulled into the disabled spots sideways. After I told the guy inside what a screwed up mess it was I came out and another guy with a 5er pulled along side of me. He just shook his head and asked if there was anything behind him. I waved him back far enough to pull around him and meanwhile people were trapped in their parking spots and others who wanted to park. Then I had to get around the first camper by driving thru the mud from last nights rain. They circled me back around to the gate guy and I told him that I've been all over the US and Canada and have never seen anything like it. He said people complain all the time but management will not listen. I proceeded to my campsite and the park ranger was there. I told him what I thought and when I got to my site I told the host people what I thought. Beautiful campsite but I told all four of them I'll never be back and if I do come back I'll ignore the sign in place and go to the site, then go back and do the stupid paper work. They already had my money from registering on on line, what the heck???

There is a camp ground close to where I work at that a couple guys at work from out of state stay. They have been there for 3 years or so and now the city just decided that they can only stay for 14 days. So one is moving to another campground and the other found a rental house. That just doesn't make sense loosing bussinesd like that.

Gabe, I only understand the 14 day limit during peak season to give everybody a chance to enjoy the park. Also people who stay a long time tend to accumulate a lot of junk around their camper making it look like a trailer park. This time of year the places are only full on the weekends. Right now I can look out my window and I see one other camper in 43 sites. The place I left yesterday, IMHO, threw away five days of money because I'm leaving for SD on Friday.
