If they EVER get here...ordered and ready to ship on the 5th...didn't leave till the 7th..says will arrive Tuesday. Not that I am ready yet tho. But to answer that yea SD on the way. My inlet boot and the stock connectors would not work. I do still have to locate my ventilation fitting in the inlet pipe and my seperator tank

I removed the crankcase ventilation fitting from the factory inlet plumbing. It is just rtv'd in and one little screw. I trimmed the tab to just a nice flange. I tig'd it in oriented to let the fumes be recirculated. I will catch some flack over this . I am just not interested in dumping it out somewhere. I have a seperator tank to go in line to let the oil fall out hopefully.
I also after thinking about it and after nates deal an I KNOW i need to I tig'd a stainless 1/4" piece of brake line into the outlet pipe. I put a slight bubble flair on the end to retain the hose.
and I touched up some stuff on the collector and softened the edges up. man there is still a ton of touchups. I wonder if I will ever be happy.

Looks good, Aaron. Glad I was able to "help" lol.
I'm tempted to return my CCV to the pipes as well, I vented it to atmo and I'm not sure I'm going to be happy with it. This motor has so much blow by at night if the wind catches the fumes right, the smoke in the headlights makes it look like my truck is on fire underneath there somewhere. The odor doesn't bother me, per se, but it is definitely noticeable. I'm due for an oil change, and if it doesn't improve after that, I may route it back to the intake again as well. What did you come up with for a catch can?

I got an all-star brand catch can. I will put a pic of it up. I got a vented one though after thinking bout it I think I will cap that part off. Any oil should "fall" out I believe.there is a baffle inside it and a drain on the bottom that I can drain it with .
Yea the SD trucks recirculate it. i have heard everybody worried that it makes the ice less efficient. i thought about it and if the catch can does not catch enough then it is what it is.I will figure it out later. I sure know there are hundreds of thousands of trucks logging millions of miles . so iduno

I'm right there with you guys. I don't like the ccv mod either and plan to re route mine back into the intake as soon as I get a little truck time. When I did mine I had a peice of clear hose kicking around so I used it, there is no oil past 2" from the vc. The exit is right on top of the spring and there is no oil on it either so my plan is to keep it over the booster and loop it into the intake. I'll leave the clear hose so I can watch for oil buildup. I would however recommend still running the ccv over the booster and into the can. I doubt you'll have to drain it very often.
