I have a 1996 4x4 ext cab, and have changed the trannsmission filter 2 times.
The rear 2 bolts on the trannsmission pan are very difficult to remove.
There is a bracket next to them.
I have taken them out a 1/4 turn at a time .
Is there an easier way to get them out?
Or does anyone have an idea to make this easier next time.

What transmission do you have?
On my tranny all the bolts are very easy to remove, I have an E4OD.
I suspect you could remove the bracket to make the bolts more accessible.
What tools are you using to remove them?
