98 Expedition, heater core replaced, now no fuel pump or spark
Vehicle is a 1998 Ford Expedition, 5.4L.
I removed the entire dash for this including all of the electrical connections, I realize now I didn't have to do all of that, just to give you background. I had it mostly back together when I realized it wouldn't start. I have been back through it again and didn't find any missing connections.
Engine cranks and everything interior works but I have no fuel pump, no spark, and no dash warning lights. Brights indicator will illuminate, otherwise nothing when first turn on the key. 4WD indicator will not illuminate.
I have reset the inertia shutoff switch, confirmed power to the shut off switch, bypassed shut off switch, checked all fuses, confirmed power to fuel pump relay in the power distribution box, ohms tested relay and switched out the horn relay for the fuel pump relay.
I just checked for power at the fuel pump and appears to not have power. I disconnected the wire connection on the side of the fuel tank and tested with volt meter at the black and the black orange wire and the yellow/white and pink/black with key on and no voltage.
I checked for spark with a volt meter at the Coil over Plug connection and with a Timing light and no spark. I checked fuel pressure by just depressing the Schrader valve as I do not have a gauge, but there is no pressure at all.
I do not know if it is a PATS issue, but have tried 2 different keys and locked and unlocked drivers door with key, turned off and on ignition, battery has been unhooked multiple times. I do not see any theft warning light or reset switch in regards to a RAP module, but please help me here if this is the issue. I do have alarm buttons on the key chain, but these have not worked since I have bought the vehicle last year and have always just used the key.
Any other ideas out there? PCM? Thanks ahead of time for your input.
