Hey guys, I have a 1997 f250 light 3/4 with a 5.4. my problem is when I turn on either my headlights or heat/ac the turn signal indicators both stay lit and the signals dont work. The heat comes out but the blower isnt working. The turn signals work when the heat and headlights are off. Sometimes my clock/radio display wont light up and I have heard faint static in speakers with no key in ignition. My door ajar light will go on and off and may have battery drain overnight. My alt is sending 14v and I installed a new battery (which I removed in fear of damage), new terminals and an ignition switch non of which helped. Wondering if I may have more than one problem or if all of this could be related. Local shop says they could spend 12hrs hunting and still not find it (I cant afford that chance). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

 

You may have multiple problems, but the most obvious one is that you have a bad ground.

Look on the upper radiator support, the firewall, and behind both the driver's and the passenger side kick panels. Look for loose or corroded connections. Start with the grounds on the firewall near the starter relay, then the passenger side cabin, then the driver's side. I't most likely to be one of the first two of those.

Once the ground is repaired, then re-evaluate to see if any symptoms remain.
