Agreed Rich, not lowering the back. Would like to make the whole thing look more like a real classic barn.

Afternoon All!

I think I found my limit for the moment. I worked 5 hours straight today in the shop. .....and I am done for the day.

I got all the body work done on that panel job. It turned out to be a bigger pain than I thought it would be. There was red Bondo brand filler (on a silver car) that was over a 1/4" thick in the front of the hood and it was put there by a 3rd grader. (at least that's what it looked like.) The driver's side A pillar was all jacked up too. I had to pound that straight and redo the mud work on it as well. At least now everything is straight and smooth and has the first coat of primer on it. A couple more coats of primer and I'll be ready to shoot it.

Looks versus functionality, functionality always wins in my book, for looks can be $$.

Good to hear you are up and moving so well, but you better take it easy Alan.

Good Morning Everybody!

I'm gonna see about getting the shop warmed up again and see if I can lay some paint today. It sure is nice to have it cold and snowing outside and be able to work in a warm dry place with a smooth floor.

Good morning all, brisk is right. Got a cold chasing me down now, sniffles, sore throat and whatnot, good thing for OTC stuff for the symptoms.

Well, I got the paint job done today, BUT because I can't heat the shop very fast, I can't exhaust the fumes and overspray. Consequently, there is a TON of dirt in the paint. I laid an extra coat of clear to color sand it out later. It's not super work, but it was dirt cheap, so it is what it is.

Well made a mad dash to KC yesterday afternoon, my mom had a mini stroke/TIA. So they transferred her from Harrisionville to St Joseph Hospital, off 435.

Glad she was with my sister yesterday up in that area. I think she is going to be ok, tests being ran.

Good Morning Everybody!

Rich. Tell her we're thinking about her. I hope she gets better quickly.

Chip. Yeah. Tiff and my Doc are less than impressed with me right now, but bills don't get paid from a locked shop.

RC. Let me know and I'll make time for either or both of those. You don't need an appointment with me. I'll get them done when YOU need them done. You've helped me enough over the years. I owe you and Rich big.

I need to get off my lazy butt and get to the shop and get some stuff done. Later gents.

I got the panel paint job done except for the color sand and buffing. I'll have to wait a few days for the paint to cure. I got it peeled this morning and everything cleaned up. I even re-aligned all the front sheet metal so it looks like a car again. I've been playing with the C-cab in between letting stuff dry, so I'll have some progress pictures to show off before too long as well.
