Well, I think we are supposed to look at the gi-normous grille bars on the newer F-series and be reminded of 48 - 50's. All I can say is, it didn't work on the Lincolns, and if it took me 5 years to "get it" then it was a flop on the trucks.

1936/41 Lincoln Zephyr's and 1940/41 Lincoln Continental's have vertical grille bars.

Edsel Ford and E.T. Gregorie, FoMoCo's stylist...designed these grilles to mimic the bows of boats and the spray they created cruising thru the water.

The new Lincoln's have much shorter grilles with horizontal grille bars.

The 2015 F150's are based on the design of the Super Chief, a Ford "dream truck" that made the rounds of auto shows several years ago.

The original Super Chief was a SFRR (Santa Fe RR) locomotive, styled by Harley Earl who was head of styling for GM...who also manufactured them.

Clueless!

No seat belts in that truck? I guess it's not meant to be driven.

I'd bet he sweats bullets just moving it in and out of the trailer, hasn't driven it on the road more than a few miles at most!
