Today starts the build, rear 4" lift first pics to follow, then the front. Rear is always easier than the front so, I'll start there. Ordered my General 35x12.5x15 red letter tires last night. Need to order my rims now. I know I'm going to need to swap gears-410's with LS in the near future.

The hood of the truck should be 7" higher, 3" for tires(29" to 35") and 4" for lift.

Finished rear of truck yesterday, I think it looks great, I can't believe how much time can be spent cleaning and painting. In the end it's worth it.

Passenger side, I know should have cut U-bolts before install and need to buy/install bumpstops.

Drivers side, same as passenger.

Amazing what a few cans of paint can do.

Noticed the drive shaft is almost new, can't wait to order diff cover.
Started tearing down front end yesterday, lots of cleaning there and painting.......

Next up is grill, changed silver to black(painted) and added new Ford emblem, still need new lights with clear markers. The yellow side markers are what I like least about the looks of this style truck. Clear corners and new headlights will make a big difference. No Idea what to do with bumper, need a couple of lights to break up the "big chin" bumper.

As soon as my back permits,(heals from surgery) I will start the interior. Porno red will be a thing of the past, interior will be all black, I already have new, black carpet, head liner, black leather seats, instrument panel with tachometer, new stereo, amp, speakers. I decided door panels have too many cracks, so I'll buynew ones. I also bought new glass, drivers/passenger side and one piece rear window (windshield was new)and and seals/channels.

I have done several other things also, exhaust,H pipe, headers, MSD coil, wires cap, spark plugs(6liter tuneup) and rotor, valve cover gaskets, power steering hoses, belt, changed engine oil, diff oil. Holding off on tranny and transfer til I replace thme with 4 speed.

In progress is timing chain, cover gasket, water pump, radiator hoses, thermostat, K&N air cleaner, vacuum lines, smog pump delete.ect.
Holding off on fuel pumps, body mounts until I decide if this is the height for the truck or if I do a 2" body lift. Probably won't.

Wow, looks great! Sweet work. What type of paint did you use for the leaf springs?
