99 f250 7.3 won't start after replacing injector
I'm new to this site. I have a early 99 f250 7.3 superduty that one of the injectors broke but truck still ran fine. I purchased a used injector and installed it but now the truck won't crank now. Did get it to crank for a few seconds. Checked the batteries and replaced the glow plug relay. Truck ran before changing the injector so I'm not sure what happened. Any help would be appreciated

I just changed all 8 of my injectors the last 2 nights. It took me several minutes of cranking, draining the batteries, charging them back up and draining them again. I would say all totaled, 3-5 minutes of actual cranking time of 6-8 cycles of 30 seconds or so cranking, before it finally compressed the air enough to build up ICP in order to fire. Keep craning, once you introduce air into the system, it can take awhile. Do you any way to monitor ICP?

I thought that as well. Believe me, I have had my injectors out in singles, batches of a few at a time, and now all 8, sometimes it takes a very long time to get it to fire off. I was at the point last night where I was going to let go of the ignition in about half a second and it finally caught. I used to pull the ICP sensor and top of the drivers side oil rail, and then pull the HPOP line off the passenger side and top it off. That will cut the cranking time down a little bit.
