A speed limit like your seeing is most likely programed into the ECU. It may not be but most limits I've read about were part of the engines operating program. If it ends up being that you could just replace the ECU with one from the same engine/trans/vehicle combination that would not have the limit built in.

solvable
Just call your nearby Ford dealer and ask what the charge will be. I doubt its even gonna be $50.
Its a fleet setting in the PCM.

Why do you need to drive a van faster than 75 MPH? They're not sports cars.

Plus, they drink a lot of fuel at that rate.
But...here in Texas we have hundreds of miles of 80 mph limit interstate and a few toll roads that top out at 85 mph.

Did not know any states had speed limits above 75 MPH. Still, vans are just an accident waiting to happen above 70 MPH.

That's a fact Brotha!
I once had an E250 just above 80 MPH and WOW OH WOW.
These things NEED to be capped at 70, sorry to say.
