49 F-1 Motor and Transmission Mounts

Ok, So I am finally going to get my build going again. I am putting a 351C in my pickup with a C-4 behind it. I want to get my mounts ordered, I have not seen a lot of options for a C-4 in a 49? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also if I am putting a mustang 2 front end in do I need a cross member motor mount or the side mount? Where is the best place to get motor mounts from? What are peoples experiences?

I am sure that there are lots of old feeds out there on this subject, but I looked through three pages and couldn't find anything that pertained to my project. Any help is apprecieated!

With the MII front end, you can't use a crossmember engine mount. Both crossmembers will want to occupy the same space. Since every build is a little bit different, you'll likely find better luck custom making your own engine and trans mounts to place the drivetrain in the exact right spot for your application.

You have to use Advanced Search to get anything meaningful. Here's a good thread or two:

If you searched on putting a CHEVY engine in your truck I bet you would of found a ton of info! (ducking now and covering my head!)

It seems anything I build nowadays uses an engine that was not made to fit the vehicle so I always end up making my own mounts. I think it is easier that way.
