Good morning Jim, Pat, Don, Shawn, Rick and all the regulars that I forgot. Too water logged to think straight, I believe they said the rain is pulling away from me later today, but you guy's are still swimming. The wind is blowing over 30 knots, that's impressive for the back side of a nor'easter, you guy's must be taking it on the chin. I always worry about my cabin, its well built but with a running creek and on the side of a mountain with trees galore, you never know. I'm going to call my neihbor today (the crazy chicken lady) ssshhhh. Make sure no trees fell on it. I never had the property logged, everyone up there said I have enough hard wood to pay for the property and then some, but I like the cover from the trees, So I only take the dead ones for fire wood. You can see anything from the road anyway but I wanted the trees. Have a great day if that's possible now a days.

Great fun yesterday. Contractor came back and finished all the sheetrock work in the closet now that we know we got all the drafty spots covered. They leave around 1700 after working all day putting up sheetrock. We go upstair to check it all out and hear a cat - under the floorboards. Then I hear the second cat (we have two) at the other end of the kneewall. Had to cut out two floor boards, one at each end, to let the cats out. Now to go back this AM and repair the butchery to the floor where I had to cut out the escape hatches.
Two steps forward, one step back.
Then to mud and tape, which I decided to do to save some $$$. They rocked it in one day with four people - would have taken me a week wrestling with 12' sheets of rock up a steep narrow stairway. Much better to let them do that part. I can tape & mud pretty well after years of practice in this old house.
Guess where I'm going to be today???
