I made a couple of wardrobe cabinets with drawers for a women about 10 years ago.

The wardrobes had red cedar inside of the backs. Its hard to find with out splits and overly knotted and twisted. Made an oak chest for my wife, She didn't want cedar in it for that reason.

How hard is it to find oak or cherry or something fairly nice? And have you ever made a chest/trunk?

The two wardrobes were of cherry. The two bookcases that I made last June were of walnut. Cherry and walnut compliment each other.
