You might have better luck getting pictures if you start a new thread.

I like your new flooring, is that carpet or rubber?

And the BONANZA we call a Blazer(2 door) and a Suburban(4 door). The only diesel option in those was a 6.2 V8
Sorry to quote something so old, but 84-85 S-10 did have a 2.2 diesel option. It was the same diesel used in the Chevette.

I've read through this thread and can't help to think a few things:
1. Why can't we get these trucks. I would love a diesel half-ton.
2. I can't believe that you are running 3.07 gears. I would think those would be awful shallow for that set up.

i did not understand your question?

yes it is 3.07! there is no better than that! is very low for the diesel engine low speed!

a box of ZF gears with 5th gear over drive ! would be good!

i love diesel engines !

What a fun thread! I have really enjoyed learning about Fords in Brazil. I live in Washington State USA. When in College I did a year long study abroad in Beijing China. I was always on the lookout for USA made cars. There were a lot of Chinese made Jeep Cherokees but the only USA cars I saw imported into China were the early 90s Lincoln Towncars.
These are my three trucks, a 1992 F-250 that has been in my family since new, a 2007 GMC Canyon I bought after college, and a 1987 F-150 i recently bought to fix up.

Hey FtruckBrazil,

I just found this thread today and I haven't been able to stop reading it and looking at the pictures. Thanks for sharing.

I have a question. I noticed that a lot of the F1000s you post pictures of have black trim around the windshield instead of chrome. Is it more common to find the black trim than the chrome trim there? I'm attaching a picture of my truck so you can see the chrome trim around my windshield for reference. I've tried to find new replacement black trim here in the U.S. but haven't located any yet.

By the way, I'm from Texas and trucks like ours are everywhere here. They are extremely popular even being 20 years old and older. Your F1000 is beautiful.

hello! f1000 all came from the factory with black trim around the windows! did not exist any chrome here!

curiosities: the windshield was glued and other fixed by rubber! regardless of years of manufacturing!

The addition because I can not esplicar! I have a friend who has a F1000 like mine and the same year, and his the windshield is secured with rubber and my is arrested for glue

Pretty much your truck!

I wonder about those shock absorber steering bar? what their function? you who adapted?

being the f1000 uses almost all the mechanics of f150 1991 1995 suspension bodywork .... Can I install these dampers in my truck?

very much pieces used in the f1000 are made in USA ! other in Brasil and Argentina !

It's a steering stabilizer kit. It keeps the truck's steering from jumping around as you go over rough terrain. It mounts on your frame on the passenger side and then to the drag link, so it should work on your truck with no problems. I got mine from Rough Country for $105 US delivered. http://www.roughcountry.com/steering-stabilizer-87338-20.html
It was definitely worth the money.

I would much prefer the black metal trim or rubber trim over my chrome trim around the windshield. I can't find the rubber or metal trim in black anywhere in the US. Our Lightning and Nite edition trucks came with black but the rest came with chrome.
