Worst case scenario water pump change. Need advice.

I am in a real bad scenario with my 460 engine on my F250. The water pump is froze onto the motor so bad, I can not get it off. Ive tried beating on the old water pump with a hammer and obviously prying on it. When I pried on it with my screwdriver, I busted the thin water jacket behind where the water pump mounts. So my next question is now what? JB Weld?brazing? or selling the pickup for parts? Any advice is appreciated.

Well, at least you can check and replace if needed your timing chain and gears when you have the timing cover off to change it. probably need a water pump, backing plate for the pump and a timing cover. Not a real big thing to do..

I'm gonna guess you missed a bolt or two on the water pump.

Are you absolutely sure you got all the old bolts out? Do you have your new water pump there so that you can count and verify this by counting the bolt holes? At the very least, you will need a new water pump and a timing cover, probably from the salvage yard.

There's a couple of bolts tight up under the inlet port...

You can buy a new timing case for under $50

Be sure to check your counterweight for scoring.
You will ruin a brand new front main seal if you don't sleeve it.
