I had the M/S 2's on my previous F150. They were a great Highway tire, had good traction in the rain and snow plus they lasted a long time. They could not handle mud at all and they were stiff riding on bad roads.

Cooper AT3.......14,000 miles and done.

Spending the money and getting Michelins or Toyos. We find out Monday if Cooper wants to stand behind their CRAP tires.

Full story in the tire section.

My boss ran 3 sets of coopers on her 2005 Expy and they all wore very quickly. The coopers seem to be pretty popular here but I'll never buy em.

Had both BFG AT and Michelin LTX AT2. I like both.... Michelin is worth every penny, in my opinion. I just traded away my 2007, the tires had over 45k miles on it, the tires still look great and still more than half way through. It has LT tires as I tow with my travel trailer, I get many comments from others on them. The ride is much nicer with Michelin over BFG AT, both are great and would buy again on either. Oh, BFG AT tires has slightly visible road noise while Michelin barely had any.

That's because the Michelin AT2's look like a street tire not an AT.

Interesting, a buddy just put AT3s on his truck, I'll have to monitor his wear. 14k is a little unbelievable to be shot already

I think the term shot is one's opinion of excessive wear in a short time. I'd use the same term and I did with the set of Yokohama's that were on my Expy. I didn't break 35K on a 60K mile rated tire.

I am now down to the LTX AT2's or the BFG Ko2's for my truck. Both are a bit more aggressive than I need for daily use. Both are similarly priced but the Michelin comes with a 60K mile tread wear warranty. If the tire is balanced and rotated every 7500 miles or so and it still fails prematurely, Michelin will have no choice but to pro rate a replacement set. The BFG's don't come with a treadwear warranty on the Ko2 but they really don't need to, it's a great tire.

Understood. I'm stagnant on my tire shopping. I look around and read threads, but honestly at this rate I'm a few years out on buying new Unless they dry rot. I'd buy the Terra Grappler again, it has worn very well for me. I like the Destination AT, I have to check out the KO2 haven't seen it yet. It's that time of the year Mr Tim, baseball is upon us. Busy busy

Now that they came out with the new Terra Grappler G2's there are only a few sizes of the old Terra Grapplers available. The new Terra Grappler G2's have a tread wear warranty.

Everybody uses their tires in different ways in different situations on different road structures, therefore we have different results. What works for Bob in Florida on his F150 is probably NOT going to Work for Steve in Idaho on his F350 Supercab 4x4.

WE need to find the tire that is right for our usage.

The ONE thing that separates the good from the bad.............WARRANTY

There are companies that will not even put a warranty on a LT tire. IF THEY HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THEIR PRODUCT,,,,,,,WHY SHOULD I ?

I'm having issues with Cooper right now and we'll find out what their warranty means to them this week. In talking to my local tire shop owners, Michelin is they only company who will warranty a LT tire and stand behind it. More $$$$ but you
get what you pay for.
Next time you shop tires, read the fine print and you discover how much confidence a company has in their product.........it's eye opening.

I absolutely hate the hankooks they put on my 12. dryrotting and cracking at two years old less than 30000 miles. my dealer said the hankook rep would cover 33% of replacement but then quoted me close to $600 lol. I don't think so I dunno what to do , kinda leaning towards nitto dura grapplers.

The Hankooks on my 2011 are approaching 50K miles and still have 5/32's to 6/32's and are in great shape but I wouldn't give you $600 for them new let alone prorated.

Oh yeah, that 285/75-18 is looking mighty appealing. A little taller and skinnier than my 295/70

These came on my truck when I got it: BFG Long Trail T/A. That was 68,000 miles ago, and they look like they'll go another 20,000!
