Looking to possibly upgrade the old factory wiring harness in my '66, complete from dash, front and rear harness and was wondering what aftermarket harness would be the best to use. I've got the stock column but would like to have the option of some possible upgrades in the future, most notibly A/C. Dont plan on power locks or cruise or any other "modern" options so I'm thinking that a 14 or 21 circut would be plenty. I would like to upgrade the headlights to higher output versions as well. Thanks for any info.

 

Topic has come up on number of occasions and just recently member's made comments regarding aftermarket kits such as 'painless', EZ, and couple others, it was w/in the last week so suggest scroll down a few threads and read the comments, seem to recall they did not find any problems regarding the installation. I installed reproduction harnesses in the 65 and matter of removing the old and plug in the new, same connectors and wiring color codes. The reason I mention is because the manufacturer of the individual harnesses I purchased also makes the kit a member posted a link to in a similar thread, I was very pleased w/ the quality of the harnesses. Which ever route decide to take suggest do the research, I would be interested in the supplier's customer and tech. support.

I have no experience with the harness sold by Topline but I like the concept of no fuses.
