74 sb trailer special build

Ok here is another build thread. Me and my son are doing a 74 f100 short bed build. Our plan was first to do a fancy street truck build. but we have changed direction. Now we are planning on a nice driver. The truck has been media blasted.

here are some before pictures. I will post more later this evening as it has already been media blasted and the bed is off and I many of the replacement part already.
It has dual tanks and I am stumped on how to run header and dual exhaust and keep the side tank plus the older filler tubes seem not to work with the newer cali gas pumps

Curious what the plans are for it.

Looks like a solid Ca truck.

we were going to do it as a hot rod in ford ruby red ( the new red many of the 2014 cars are) but we decided to just get it straight with satin or rat rod black. for running gear it has a 360 that had the head redone just before we got it and the lower end was totally redone .03 over about 20k ago. Got receipts for that work with the truck. so just going to add headers intake and carb. Inside have a set of dolphin gauges and dash bezel. we are going to remove the side moldings.

I am in the sacramento area it is over 100 so can't work on it

Too hot to work, I don't understand. haha

I lived in Az for a couple years and would gladly go back to the 120*+ weather in the summer than deal with all the grey and rain in western Wa. Unfortunately the wife doesn't agree...

Here are picture of the truck as is today was blasted about 6 months ago so there is a little surface rust. notice the second side tank will most like remove it due headers and dual exhaust will be a easy run. Plus the old filler Tubes do not work with the newer pumps in Cali. Dealing with the rear tank will be a bib enough job. if anyone has dealt with this. I purchased a new ford oem bracket for the 2014 for cheap it is plastic. but dose not answer the fill tube replacement. Was thinking I could get a billet screw in door and make a bracket 2014 bracket to bolt the billet door.

So it has been a while but I am back at it.The body parts have been blasted and sealed. The cab had to be replace too much rust. It appears the cowl rusted and allowed water go sit in the cab. The joy of being in in the Sacramento area you can get a clean cab cheap
Got a good 77 for 250 delivered off a ranch

I will post more photo lithe next few day
