My Findings
Haha, no on the paperwork Aaron.
Finally got down to businesses tonight. Finger burned or not, here was my findings
Compression on drivers side bank, cold engine
2 - 330
4- 310
6- 320
8- 300 (the one throwing the contribution code, more on that in a second)
Not sure what is considered normal. Didn't do the passenger side
Checked injector coil resistance
2- 2.8
4- 2.9
6- 2.9
8- 2.9
Aaron also threw out the idea I could swap coils to see if the problem moved, decided
it wasn't really going to matter after I checked injector armature clearance
6- .002
8-.002
Which brings me to my conclusion, pretty safe bet that the injectors are shot. I was going to change 8 (with an injector I have no history on, didn't feel like adding more possibility for mystery) but I didn't see any way I was going to gain anything when they are All shot. Looks like I know where next year's tax return is going to go. But I feel better knowing than not.

As an idea on compression my motor ranged from 280 to 390 on a cold motor Thomas. Most were around 370 though. That was 440k km. about 300k miles ish. The low cylinder definatly had something go through it. It was scored up all over the place. That being said, you seem to have pretty consistent numbers. I would probably check the compression tester for accuracy and do the other side as well.

Yeah it was snug. The .003 wouldn't even think about fitting in there. And about the coils, sounds like they are shot too.
Yeah I was afraid they would be all over. I should add this was done with all 4 glow plugs on that side out, I didn't want to do the other side yet since my cylinder that was throwing the code was on the drivers side. But I do plan on doing the other 4 at some point. How do you check a compression tester? This was the same one Nate used. I figured for an engine closing in on 400k miles, that it wasn't terrible. Definatly not a new motor though. Lol.

Heck, I'd say you're doing real well. Your 400k mile motor measures higher than mine does with about half that many miles on it! I wouldn't worry about compression if I were you. Sounds like the injectors are due for a refresh though. As long as it is running good, I wouldn't feel too rushed to get it done. Besides, it's not like you don't have anything else to drive!
