I really dont expect anything to happen in OK. So many ppl here have guns and ammo on them and in their homes, it would be dumb for bad guys to try to rob and plunder on Aug 30th.

 

You can bet I'll have the .45 ACP loaded with 230 gr +P JHP, and the 20ga loaded with 3" mag rounds. In other words, just another normal day.........
Though, for something like this, the 270 might have to come out of the storage case.

 

I'm not too worried. Won't even bring the .357 and 12 ga out of the safe. The cop across the street will be home at the time and his firepower eclipses mine. But, I do wish TPD hadn't given him an unmarked car, as that cruiser sitting in the driveway was quite impressive.

 

I'm not worried about it, nor do I consider it as a viable threat.
On the other hand, I don't plan to dismiss it and possibly be caught out somewhere unaware or unarmed.

If, and that's a big IF, anything does happen, I will be ready. Like every other day.
As for calling the police, my motto is, "when seconds count, the police are only 38 minutes away"..........

 

I don't have to call the cops. They live 100' away. It used to be that both he and she were Tulsa cops, as were he and she in the next house north. But the ones north moved and the lady across the street is now a nurse. But, she still has her gun and knows how to use it. And he looks like Mr. Clean with an attitude. I feel safe.
