Put my Mishimoto back in, the new OEM thermostat I installed started to open at lower and lower temps, I decided to give the Mishimoto a try again. It hangs right at 200 degrees, more consistent than the OEM. I have a long run pulling my small trailer in a couple of weeks so that will give it a good test in warm weather.

I just completed a 2000 mile vacation. Ambient temps were from the low 50-102 as a high. The stat stayed at 202-204 mostly, idling goes down to 198-200. The highest I saw was 207 and mileage is up consistently, both in town and highway 1.5-3 mpg.

Go to "User CP" select "Edit Options" scroll down a bit and you'll see a setting for # of messages per page. Set it to 40. This thread will only be 26 pages then, and you won't be eligible for a free vehicle any more.

with the 100 degree weather and high humidity my Ects are around 202-204 and EOT 209-211. This is unloaded around town and highway with ac on. I plan on doing a test run pulling my jeep to see what the temps do. I am thinking I will be putting a stock thermostat back in for the summer.

Towed a 1500lb load a couple weeks ago, up and down some good grades, numbers didn't really change. I know that most tow 4-8k loads and this might not really count as a good observation.

It would hold off the cooling a little longer, may make the system work a little harder to cool it down. But for me, not towing that often, the increased mileage of daily driving, mine is staying in.

I'd be curios to hear what you find/observe.

I don't think that's bad with your truck configuration. That's about what my EOT runs around town (Rogers Ave. at noon). With a 186* stock thermostat ECT runs 193-200. My mishi ran 207*.

Rogers ave can play hell with temps! I still have the strange issue of my ect dropping to 190-194 while driving. Pretty sure it is a sensor or wire issue. havent noticed anything else being strange.

Maybe we should swap SGII's for a bit and see if that persists. Or you can just get mine while I'm not driving after hip surgery and see WTF.

Its the wire, mine does it occasionally. Give it a giggle, goes back to normal, noticed it after a good bump.

Would you guys say that 207 ECT and 217 EOT constantly is fine? I ran from Seattle to L.A. And back with temps in the 90's and that is where the truck stayed. I wasn't "unloaded" but I wasn't towing anything.
