I own a 6.0 and I have been driving a 6.4 at work since 2008. The 6.4 I drive has never had a problem keeping coolant temp up around 200*.(with no load) I put Torque Pro on it this morning, and after it was completey warmed up, I took the screenshot below. (some gauges read nothing due to the 6.4 doesn't read all of my 6.0 gauges I have listed.) The 6.4 uses 2 thermostats.
For what it's worth, I will never own a 6.4, even though their thermostats seem to work as designed.

Hi All,
Thought I would share my findings from using my 2005 6.0 Ex with the 200 thermostat. I have had a Scangauge hooked up and have found that it holds the engine very well at 198-200 even with outside temps below 0 farenheit some days. I was very surprised how long the motor took to get up to 200. I found it climbed quickly to 175-180 and then slowed down but still got to the 200. All this is while driving at 45-50 mph and with a winter blanket on the front grille. Overall I would recommend this thermostat. Time will tell how this works in the heat of summer with the AC on full blast.

Temps 204-206 with the occasional run to 100. I was following traffic and a sweet looking black new 5.0 Mustang GT.

I left the house at 2:52 and pulled into Prothro Junction at 5:00. I followed the M-F college kids home and they were in a hurry so I just cruised... Took my time and was back home by 9 pm.

OK so I went thru this thread somewhat, but didn't have time to read all 700 posts...
Does anyone know what washed out with the t-stat fitting the older housings?
I recently bought an 04, and I'm doing the work up on it now, was going to replace t-stat with this new one but am reluctant to do so now due to it not fitting (in some) of the housings.
Did Mishimoto fix this issue? Any suggestions?
Thx
