Tranny question - what do part houses call mine

The Ford VIN lookup refers to my transmission as a Ford 3-speed light duty trans.
Well I am wanting to acquire a transmission shaft seal for mine and the closest I have come to matching up is a borg-warner t85 or t89.
It's the three on the tree with the highest speed rear end - the lightest combination ford put out according to what I can gather.
My new motto - fixing leaks one step at a time.
Not even going to touch the pinion portion of my leak yet.

Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncromesh.
1966/79: Warranty Plate TRANS code C = Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all syncromesh transmission.

D9BZ-7052-A (replaced 21C-7052 - A2TZ-7052-A - C4TZ-7052-A) .. Extension Housing (Output Shaft) Seal / 2.378" O.D. x 1 1/2" I.D. x 1/2" thick.

1942/47 Commercial (1/2 ton) 3 speed / 1948/52 F1/F2 3 speed (except Warner T-87 H/D) / 1953/62 Warner T-86 3 speed & 3 speed with O/D / 1963/64 Warner T-86 3 speed O/D / 1963/87 Ford type 3.03 3 speed.

1965/71 Warner T-85 O/D & Warner T-89 are not the same.

OK, thanks Numbers, but I am going to sound obtuse here, but does that mean that there is no equivalent tranny from Warner?
Most of the parts houses I have checked on-line don't even reference a Ford transmission.

Ford type 3.03 speed manual all syncro trans introduced initially in 1963 F100/250 & Custom/Galaxie, used thru 1987 in myriad FoMoCo vehicles.

1963/83 F100: Type 3.03 was the only 3 speed manual available, excepting 1963/64 F100's with Warner T-86 O/D & 1965/71 F100's with Warner T-85N O/D.

These two 3 speed O/D's were optional.

Note: This 3.03 and etc extension housing seal was also used with the New Process 435 4 speed. Give the chain auto parts store parts-cluck this New Process part number: 96733

The part they gave me ended up being correct when cross-referencing with the part number you provided, Numbers. However, it did not match what was on the truck.
A National oil seal part number 4700-59 was found on the outside of the seal.

That makes sense. As I recall when Ford changed the C4TZ7052A number to the D9BZ7052A number the looks of it were different. The aftermarket prolly did also.
