Yep, that's the one I used to have, but sold it some years ago, when I moved to Baja. The old Sun tach, still in my truck, has a setting, on the back, that are little dip switches, which have different combinations for 4, 6, or 8 cyl. The trick is going to be to be able to copy a photo, of a gauge, that matches the original spedo, and make it the right size... I've never tried 'Counterfeiting', but I am intrigued by the possibility. Making the increments match the needle will be the real trick...

I bought a hand held one with 5 functions back in 1972 that, I still use when keeping my ex-in laws vehicles running at their best.
I'm still good friends with the x in-laws, but not their Daughter!!
I don't seem to really have a use for it on my own vehicles since having a the HEI dizzy and a dash tach a volt meter an a vacuum gauge that can be viewed any time while driving.
I just use a timing light once a couple of yrs to check the timing setting.

I put in my cluster yesterday, and other than the vacuum gauge, it looks like yours. No photo yet, as the truck is at the local fiberglass shop, for the new (between the rails) fuel tank. I will see it and photo it on Fri...
Meanwhile, does anyone know where to get a tach, that looks like the spedo, and will work with the 300 IL 6?? I'd love to also find a vacuum gauge also... any hints would be mucho appreciated.

The good news is they will work with 6 and 8 cylinder engines. The SIG is for a V8.
The bad news is both of the SW tach. gauge faces are faded. The Ford vacuum gauge faces I have look brand new.
So look out for those '79 clusters.

Tomahawk,
I too tried to look it up, and no luck... I would be willing to buy any extra, faded or not, gauges you have, or at lest a tach & vacuum gauge, to complete my dash cluster. I am sure that almost anything I need, is here in Baja somewhere, as nobody hauls stuff North, but finding it is the problem.

I don't want to sell the two I have, but if I find another one you will be the first to know. It shouldn't be to hard to find one, it took me 6 weeks to get the 5 clusters I have. I also have a cable driven tach. that I want to convert to electronic. VDO makes a 270° sweep 4k tach. that would be perfect for a swap, I just need time to try it.

Tomahawk,
Thanks amigo, I appreciate your help.. looking here, is an exercise in patience. It took me over 3 months, just to contact the owner of the '70 bed that I recently put on my '67 Highboy.. I really like those old style round gauges, and Troz's photos of his, put me on the hunt about a year ago...
