Must be working a lot or, getting lots of sweetie-pie quality time in or, he's feverishly working away on the truck/engine and not posting until he gets done with what's on the agenda to be accomplished.

I just read thru all 50 pages, this is the longest thread I've ever read here, or at allfordmustangs, or at trifivechevies, or at hell any of the car forums I belong too. I'm enjoying your build, sucks about that crack in your block a few pages back, very glad the machine shop guy had one for you to replace that one. I'm interested to see what you come up with the valve cover logo.

Sorry, guys. I have been really busy lately and held up with a lot of delays. I owe you guys an update so here's the run down.
Cleaned up my F150 and sold that.

Repainted my house. [no photo]
Spent a few weeks wrenching on the '73 and sold that too. (By the way, Redhead steering boxes are top notch).
Rebuilt a differential for the first time which was fun. The '69 will get the LSD 31 spline treatment soon.
Bought a car. Love it.
I've been doing some maintenance stuff to the Highboy. It also needed a tailgate repair.
Spent a bunch of hours on block work. The casting was rough so I smoothed everything down to perfection. The block is now primed.
I've been doing some photoshoots for side money. This car has 1036rwhp.
We also pulled the GMC out of the garage after a decade. We're converting it to power disc brakes, power steering, and we're lowering it.
I'm now wrenching on the Camaro because we're going to sell that.
I also finished the machining on the valve cover and now have it primed. To make up for my delays, I will give you all a preview.
The GMC's parts have filled up the garage and the 4Runner on the trailer is blocking the garage door, so I can't pull my engine out to paint it and the garage is too messy to do anything inside. Dad's not exactly motivated to do me a favour and move the trailer forward so that I can actually make some progress on my engine so when he's out of town for work I'll have a buddy bring a truck over and do it. Lots of hold ups but I'm getting there. After I paint it, I'm putting it in the truck and then we can get this show on the road again.
