I recently purchased a 1967 Ford F100 2WD with a 352 cid FE. A previous owner had swapped out the original 3-speed column shift for a New Process 435 floor shift from a 4WD. The NP435 output shaft case does not have a provision for a speedometer gear. What changes need to be made to add a provision for a speedometer gear on this 4WD transmission?

 

I don't think any one has tried to change one over if even possible.
Mostly you'd have swap out the rear main shaft & tail housing.

Hell I'd think it would be cheaper to just change out the tranny and a lot less work.

Or Get a GPS unit..

There are tons of apps for smartphones that are speedometers. So that is another option.

You will either need a 2wd tail housing and shaft, or convert your truck to 4x4 with the transfer case.

Or swap trannys again.
