PA F250 - love how your truck turned out. I think dark blue lends itself very well to the 73-79 trucks! Looks great!

I love this thread!

My truck won't have the dramatic Before and after shots but this thread makes me want to strip it down, visit the powdercoater, and reassemble as new. The body on my rig is straight and clean, the undercarriage however is a whole different story. I'll post some pics that I will take tonight to show you guys. The original owner took great care of this truck but, had a diesel tank in the bed which I'm guessing leaked pretty bad. The underside of my Highboy has a good 3/4 inch of gunk from stem to stern. I plan on getting under there with a small putty knife and start the heavy removal but my goal is to strip the truck to the frame, sandblast, and powder coat the frame and the running gear. Good news about the nearly 1" of crap caked on the frame is, the frame has been pretty well preserved and has only small patches of surface rust here and there.

Before and after a long long time and many changes later, its still not done.

You can't see it in the 1st pic, but it had layers of rolled on house paint on it.

Thanks again Alan (earthquake68)

All I see trucks jacked up, fat tires and engines covered with chrome.
That's why I want a separate area for trucks rescued and returned to
factory specs. All that custom stuff was either sold or tossed on my 75.

Still haven't seen your truck John.
Why not post it?
All this thread says is before and after. We all have respect for the originals.

Thanks for the kind words about it, I have a 6" Skyjacker (all 4 springs) and 35's on it now, I have run 36" mil takeoffs before.

I have a set 15/38's and a set of 39"s, 39's might need to trim the front lip of the fender, that was a thought before the new paint job....

Have you been here? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ds-thread.html

Mostly covers the recent body and paint work thanks to Alan (earthquake68) and his awesome job on it.

Never really did a proper build thread on it, but it was not a proper build anyway.

Question; Can you read the speedometer with the new steering wheel? My 75 had one.
I bought a stock steering wheel for $20 at a local swap meet. Same with the air
cleaner and valve covers. The stock ones will be powder coated Ford blue. Same
with the air cleaner.
