Just recently my 2003 3.0 Ranger has started to rev high between shifts. With the clutch in the it will continue to rev high for 8 to 10 seconds. Where should I begin to look to correct this problem?
same on my 94 4.0. I replaced it with no effect, so just took the connector off and its been fine for the last 200000 miles. I did turn the idle up a little to maintain 700 rpm.
We just had this in a thread about late June, if I remember. There is a TSB for this that requires some kind of 'puter reprogramming. Don't know the expense for this, but you can call your local dealer.
