Russ - nice photo, are y'all expecting a colder more normal winter this year?

I agree with regards to more power, who doesn't want it!

I didn't even check the value on the 2011, the price looks on the money. Initially I thought it was high, curious now I'll check down here and compare.

Thanks and have a good weekend! Dave

They are actually calling for another above average temps, if we get moisture we could get some decent snow. I want a big snow season for a few different reasons.

So, today we decided to take a little road trip down to Hope,AK. roughly 90 miles from home 1-way. Truck ran wonderful and smooth as always, I even rolled 36k on the way home. After getting home i was driving up to the mailbox and sounds like i'm just starting to catch the wear indicators on my front brake pads. I don't want the crappy stock brakes so i ordered up a power stop kit as they have pretty good reviews...i'll see how they do they are supposed to be here the first week of October.

MPG as of recent

Here's some photos from today and a video of the Hope Highway.

Going to try and give her a good bath tomorrow!

That's the mod where you get the fogs to stay on with the high beams right? I haven't figured out how to do that with the 09-14 trucks.

So I was out of town for work all week at the tippy top of Alaska's oil fields. Came home to the truck and PowerSlot rotors and pads i had ordered last Sunday. My factory rotors were slightly warped and the pads were getting pretty close to being done figured before winter was the time to do it. I've heard good reviews on these, we'll see how they do.

I feel so bad, it needs a bath BAD!

Do you just leave them down in the winter or do they still work ok in the winter?

Always been very Leary of the automatic running boards just for what your pictures show.

Nope, you can't leave them deployed. If you set them "out" they will stay there until you hit 5mph and then retract. They worked fine all last winter with no issues. I do park in the garage every night though so they don't get build up on them. I do know a friend who has a 2011 platinum who parks outside and has never had an issue since the truck was new.

I got to test out my Nitto's on packed snow/slush. They are not all that great but i'm comparing to a true snow tire. They did OK except the 22's really fill with slush and snow and can cause balance issues until it melts.

Snow forecast here this weekend, but it won't be sticking around. That's a few weeks away at least.

I'm pretty sure it's been since August that i've washed the truck. Tonight i just could not stand it anymore. I hooked the hose back up (been disconnected because of the overnight temps) and poured some hot water in the bucket and washed her up. Man it was filthy and i had some buts that has been on the front for awhile.

It was 40F outside and sprinkling a little but i got it all finished and put in the garage.

It's supposed to rain most of the week but clear up and be in the 50s this weekend, I think i may keep it garaged and drive the Excursion so i can wax it up this weekend.

Looking good Russ. I too am NOT looking forward to the colder temps. Winter lasts forever and summer is never long enough. I just don't know how yinz guys deal the 20+ hours of darkness in the winter and 20+ hours of daylight in the summer. Although for me that last part of the last sentence would be more doable for me.
