That I should get a smaller truck so I can save gas. I guess the schools should all get short buses to save money too

 

I typacally reply with, "I'll care about my fuel consumption when boat racing, plane racing, car racing, truck racing, and other pass times that 'waste' fuel are outlawed. Fuel couldn't be that hard to come by as long as those sports are around."

 

Give it a few more years. The way kids are growing up now the normal buses won't be able to support the weight of their obese bodies and the schools will have to start using short buses for all of them

 

Folks who know about the Excursion - typically drool and ask about the mileage of the PSD.

Folks inside the gas station, ask how long does that $160 fill-up lasts? When I say 6 weeks or 800 miles they say WOW.

Neighbors (with pickups) usually like to stop by while I'm doing maintenance and imagine they had one.

Neighbors (with cars) just say "wow that's huge, how can you park it". I say, that's what the big mirrors are for!

I was told by a tree hugger, that this big overrated gas hog. Should have never been made. because of people like me, the cost of gas has gone up. Then i said its diesel not gas.. he walked away..

 

Queen Anne hill counterbalance just north of downtown Seattle. I lived there for three years during college and when it snowed we always went over to the hill to watch people slide their cars into each other. Usually ended with a pile of cars about a quarter the way up that couldn't be moved until the snow started melting away. Some people just don't get it.

That my Excursion is an Expedition or an Explorer!!

Actually argued with a guy for 15 minutes on that fact then told him to look at the badges on the 3 sides.......

 

I actually kinda get offended when someone calls mine an Expidition, I'm really quick to correct them.

 

I laugh when this happens, I usually say something along the lines of "No, Excursion, not the mommy mobile".

 

my brother in law used to call mine an Explorer because he knew it bugged me. Then I started calling his F350 a Ranger and funny, he stopped!

 

Some mistake it for a suburban. The new suburban does look boxy again and kind of looks vaguely similar
