Glowplug change and am amazed at what I found
OK so I started getting P0671 code - # 1 Glow Plug Circuit Fault this weekend. Unplugged connector and ohmed the plugs. Showed I had one at almost 100 ohms. Ok, there's my bad one. This morning I remove the valve cover and start at cylinder 1 (changing all of them while I'm in there). I remove the glowplug and it's an autolite. It comes out no problem but it's the bad one.
Now here is what I don't understand. The other 3 are motorcraft. To me that means the someone went through the trouble (and expense) to replace only ONE glowplug while they were in there . That just doesn't make any sense to me at all. Now time to go back to change the drivers side out just to make sure there aren't any autolite's in that side (they all ohm good but a little on the high side).
Carry on.

Some ppl get the job done buy a mechanic and he or she couldn't afford to do the other ones. Or the mechanic just didnt give a F which alot usually dont and do the bare minimum to get the job complete Without the customer knowing that he or she should change them all while hes in that deep. Or the guy did it in his driveway and just needed to get buy. The moral of this story is if your that deep in any job do it right!
