Thanks a lot! I might have an update on this soon.

We were still having a no spark problem, so after months of screwing around and replacing the cap, rotor, and plugs, we just decided to go HEI. We think the MSD box is the problem, but I can't afford a new one right now. I am away at school now, and my dad is installing the new distributor. I also installed the LEDs in the dash a while ago.

Here is the LED swap. I used a write up that Rusty did as a guide.

Bezel removed:

The LEDs that I bought on Ebay:

Installed, I think I have one bad one:

and here is a comparison, I didn't have a good before picture, but you can see that they are brighter:

Changed the plugs a while ago. Dropped and broke one

It looks like my MSD box is bad, so we just decided to go to HEI, here is a before picture. I can't remember why I pulled the valve covers off. I remember cleaning them.

And here is the new HEI distributor and wires. We had to grind on the thermostat housing to make it fit. Should have just bought one with the notch pre cut. Should have it running soon!

Got it running last night, and timed it this morning! I still need to get longer spark plug wires, because the kit came with ones for a 351, and they just barely reach, and hook up the vacuum advance. I am very happy though, I had only put 59 miles on since May 1st. I drove it around the block this morning, I'm so glad that it's running again!

I've been reading your thread over the past two days, and really like what you are doing with it! It looks really good! I am 15 and in the process of building a 1997 f-250 right now and hope it turns out as good as yours is!

I like the build! Strong work dude!

What are you running your timing at? I see the vacuum advance is plugged on the new dizzy. You might want to utilize that feature.

Thank you! I believe the timing is at 10 degrees. We just put it in storage for the winter. The vacuum advance will get hooked up in the spring.

Got it out of storage a few weeks ago, hooked up the vacuum advance and did a 200 mile trip with it.

It has been a fun vehicle, but I have decided to sell it. I would really like to buy a 4 door bronco, and need to sell this one first. Here is the link to the craigslist ad if anyone is interested:

It's in good hands. I'm the one who bought it. Since purchase it has had a ton done to it. If no one objects, I can continue to update over time. Currently waiting on its new Carb.

Bought it back tonight. It is missing the engine, transmission, transfer case, exhaust, radiator, driveshafts, dash, tailgate, driver's door panel, and hood latch. Tossed the extra set of wheels I had on there. Tires are 31s, and are junk. The whole truck has been sprayed with cheap black bed-liner, and the topper was painted tan. Holes were cut in the body (including a spot that I patched) for the exhaust, and diamond plate was bolted on. The passenger side rear wheel well was cut out, driver's side was left alone. Currently on the hunt for a tailgate, so I can seal it up from the elements. Storing it at a friend's house. I'm going back tomorrow to look at it in the daylight and take better pictures.
