Personally, I can't stand Soccer. (Unless it's watching the "Wimmins" playing!)

As long as they don't win by more than 3 (I think), Tiebreakers and such.

You guys brought up good points about the aerobic workout......And I've said this before on FB and elsewhere.....it's a fun game to PLAY. Sadly it kind of fell out by the wayside after Junior High.....but in elementary and junior high school....oh, how I looked forward to hitting the field...picking sides on the spot.....and basically going to war with the other side.

But watching it on TV? And having the championship every 4 years?

Really tracking teams in contention...and yearly championships in the Big 3 (Football, Baseball, Basketball) are a big part of what makes those sports 'American' (and Canadian.......and Hell with baseball it's big in Japan and south of the border...).

And yes. 'Scoring' too. I don't think there's a man here who would tolerate a 0-0 'tie' in any of those sports. Uh-uh......NO way.......

 

it is beside olympic games that picks a true world champion?

 

If they would try to score sometimes maybe it would be more fun for everyone.

 

Personally...I'd rather watch paint dry.

 

Yes all us red blooded American males love to score.

Ties are like blue *****.

 

I cannot fully express the number of "I don't give a chits" about soccer I feel..........yawn.

More diving in the World Cup than the Olympics. C'mon Man! Get up and play the game.

 

This is just the world cup, there are leagues that have championships every year such as MLS here in North America and several European leagues. I don't follow the game much either anymore but I sure love playing it.

I can't watch baseball on tv, but I did get to attend an Expos game when they were still around and that was a lot of fun. I'm guessing if you actually attended the games in person the feeling would be different.
