Picked up a 55 C600.

I just picked up a 55 C600 with a Y block and manual in it. This truck has some kind of expandable frame that really put a hurt on my car trailer for weight.

My plans are to pick up a box van setup in an E350 or so setup and put the engine behind the cab as well and make it a sort of slant back sort of flat hauler with dovetail. If I can get another cab in my possession, I'd like to crew cab it but not sure if I have the time or energy for that.

I also grabbed a set of 19.5" 10 lug wheels with a set of American Force adapters for the 1 ton and these will go under the truck. They are on my F350 for now just to feel them out.

I can't wait to get started on it!

Dave

Nice score!
That fender is all kinds of ugly. Got a replacement?
Score the cab and doors and tear into the crew stretch.
Hope to get started on mine this fall/winter and misery loves company!

Yup, it came with a replacement fender. I won't start on this truck for at least a year or so since I have to finish up my Fairlane and build my shop. I am on the lookout fore another body though so I can consider the crew setup. I have 3 kids. Everything we drive has 4 doors.

Good luck with yours!

3 boys here as well.
I would say "race ya to completion" but I know (hope) I'd lose.
My oldest boy is 11 and has zero interest. The younger two (3&6) wear me out wanting to go to the shop. The whole world changes when you get the kiddos. Four doors immediately become really cool. Who knew?!

Nope. This one will sit a little while so I can finish other things. My kids are on and off about helping. At 5(girl), 8 and 9 (boys), they have my attention span of.....none at all.

We'll see. Good luck on yours. I have a car to finish first.
