Turn signals and brake lights not working?

OK, here's the deal. I have a canopy and I just took it off and put on some wooden bed sides to do some junk hauling. That's when the turn signals and brake lights stopped working. I looked and found that I had pulled out at least one of the three wires that feed the canopy. So after lengthening all three to give them some slack so I don't do it again and putting a new #18 fuse in, I still don't have any lights. I have the tail light assembly off and I've been inspecting as much of the associated wires I can see, but I'm not coming up with anything. Any thoughts? Are there any other fuses or relays that I might have shorted? I guess I've once over'd most of the fuses, but i'm going to look again.

I'm not sure what you mean but there is two sets of fuses for truck and trailers. Maybe you need to check both sets. under the hood and dash.

OK, so after a lot of looking my friend Joe came over and found that the fuse socket inside the fuse block was pushed in and not making contact with the fuse, therefore not powering the lights. So to fix it he found the correct wire (green with a red trace) and jumped around the broken fuse receptacle with an inline fuse. He powered it off of the main terminal that powers the distribution block to avoid a series fuse situation. I hope that this right up helps somebody in the future, without help from others I would have had to spend $$$$$$$ to get it fixed. Thanks All!

Natedog, it is possible that the fuse clip that failed is part of something larger going on with your fuse block. When you have time, you might want to remove other fuses around the bad fuse and look for corrosion on the fuses. Use a flashlight to check for signs of overheating on the adjacent fuse clips. If there was enough heat to cause the clip to fail or melt the plastic which allowed the clip to move, other fuses next to it could also be affected. Is there any sign of water intruding into the fuse block? A windshield leak on the drivers side can allow water into the interior fuse block. Salt spray from winter roads can affect the fuse block under the hood, if you have an earlier truck. Larry
