Wife's is a 2013. Stay away from the 1.6 EcoBoost. The engine performs great, but they made changes when they put it in the Escape that caused recalls. And it has a timing belt instead of chain like the other two 4 cylinders.

Yes Larry, Shari's 08' Escape is the only vehicle we've bought new. It's the V-6 All Wheel Drive XLT with a few power options like drivers seat, and sunroof.
Last year it went in for an oil leak, and only had 45K on the clock, for an 08 that's low miles, now it's at just over 50K. Head gasket under extended warranty.
My biggest grump about it is the upholstery, anything that touch's that cloth stains, even water from a faucet. Yup a cup of her ice water fell over in the front passenger seat, and it left a stain.

No Apex isn't vary close to Durham..... That's what I like most about Apex already
Shari's drive will be about 45 minutes or so, but there is an office in Raleigh that she is trying to transfer to.

Appointment this afternoon at University Ford for the wife's 08 Escape.
We received a recall notice last week about the power steering system. Sounds like they're replacing a "Torque Sensor", and in some case's replacing the steering column.
It's a good way out of the house, and to look at the new Ford toy's that are on the lot. We've been going through stuff and boxing up stuff that's on the wall's and bookcase's, though we still have 6 weeks till we move, just as well get started.

Y'all be safe

Quiet on here...

Well I had a Dr's appointment yesterday for the arthritis I have in my right thumb. Another injection of something or another, then he told me my next appointment will most likely be with a Surgeon about a procedure called CMC Arthoplesty. It's basically rebuilding the joint of the thumb. He then told me mine has gone bone to bone......lucky me.

Been talking to moving company's getting quotes for our September move to Apex. Looks like we'll be doing it ourselves. Now getting ideas for moving trucks, and IF we can get the keys a week or so early, just renting a trailer and taking over a few trailer loads to make moving day a little easier.

Moving sucks

Y'all be good

When my wife moved in with me from goldsboro we took my diesel (crew cab longbed) and 20' flatbed and it was slam full except for me her and a buddy. Also uses my dad's truck and 16' flatbed.

Bob, I have a 4x8 trailer you can borrow for moving. Its a little rough around the edges but it works. I also have the excursion which holds quite a lot.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Cool James, I'll get ahold of you as we get closer to moving in. Probably take you up on the trailer offer.

Always happy to! If you need a hand carrying stuff, I can probably lend a day.
