2014 Tennessee JUNE chat - BARBEQUE TIME!

1) I got the tank installed in the Suzu
2) I also installed a new fuel filter.
3) All the tires hold air - but I have two more I want to change out the valve stems on JUST BECAUSE
~Logically, if there are any further fuel problems the next step is to replace the upper throttle body - injector and all. It will then be all new.
One of my friends suggested planting a Weber Progressive Downdraft carb on it, but I want EFI. There is no such thing as a mechanical carb that can instantaneously correct mixture. Besides - I really don't want to plumb a regulator into it, or pull the tank back out to install a lower pressure pump.
I have a battery box set aside for a vented battery of larger size in the back of the car.
*Sure was nice of the idiot who had it before me to leave all of that real pretty welding cable in the car!
"A fool and his money - is a fool who can afford to BUY STUFF..."

If you look at a map of Memphis and the surrounding area - north of it on HWY 51 is a town called Atoka.
West of that is Munford.
West out of Munford is the Munford-Drummonds road.
I live in Drummonds - next to the intersection of Munford-Drummond, Quito-Drummonds, and Richardsons Landing roads.
I'm about a mile and a half away from Glenn Springs lake
But I have been dumping a lot of cash into projects and could not have afforded to go out to eat.
I hate like hell having someone else pay my way for me too...
I SWORE TO MYSELF when I was young, that I would stand on my own two feet no matter what I had to do!
To this day I have problems understanding people who do me kindnesses -
I had a tough time just getting to where I am now
It's a very long story and not really worth talking about.
OH, and there would have been another problem...
No matter where I go, Woola has to come with me if I am going to be gone for long.
She goes nuts without me.

I cut back on beer quite a bit so far this year - too much else to spend cash on for one thing. But coffee is another notorious dehydrator, and I was raised on it since kindergarten age...
Europeans, middle easterners, and Aussie & Malyasian people have all told me time and again that tea is much better and still has caffiene. In the UAE a local told me the best way to keep cool was to drink HOT tea - because it made your surroundings seem cooler.
I still haven't adjusted to the idea, maybe I just can't find the right variety of it to suit my taste.
I'm not fond of sweets either, I usually make lemon water with a bit of salt in it but no sugar.

Yeah, I still can't put the coffee aside. And I just can't seem to like tea all that much. I grew up on Coca Cola which I finally quit cold turkey in 2000 or '01. Used to drink at least 6 cans a day. But I ended up hooked on mountain dew. I quit alcoholic beverages years ago. Too expensive.
I have enjoyed the plain water the last couple days. Sure would like to get off the Dew and stay on water.
I will have to try the lemon water with salt. Sounds interesting

When I was a teenager I worked in my fathers shop in the summer. He had this older guy who would wear long sleeve shirts and at break time he would get a cup of coffee and sit out in the shop instead of the a/c'd office. He claimed he kept cool that way.....I have tried the long sleeve shirt when I am outside in the sun but it never worked for me.
