I'm no electrician but I've had my fair share of electrical projects. Let me know if you need any help.

Seeing as the dash it out of the truck right now, I would pull the entire door harness from the truck, lay it out in the garage or in the house, grab a wiring diagram and start removing anything that isn't on said diagram. Then once it is repaired, wrap it back up in some new loom and harness tape and put it back in, then move on to the next harness and repeat.

I agree especially with the hack job the POs have done to the truck I would fix it good. Maybe even look around at some trucks that year in the junkyards and pick up that harness if they are really bad.

After looking at your drivers door switches, while the dash and everything is out I would go to the jy and find the rear door harness and switches to change the back windows to power as well. Just a thought.

I agree with what y'all are saying, and since I can afford to take my time on this truck I think I will go ahead and pull out all the wiring, and fix what I can, replace what I cannot. I have already pulled a large amount of wiring from the truck already, and I have no doubt that there is more still left to uncover in the hood, behind the dash, panels ect. And I absolutely agree Brad, I would not pay 5k for this truck. I wouldn't have when I bought and I sure wouldn't have now lol. But I did know what kind of truck I could afford and the kind of project I would be getting into, and that is why I pulled the trigger.

Sorry for not much updating recently, its amazing how much working 12 hour days 6 days a week will steal all your time and energy. Ive gotten the door panel issue taken care of at least temporarily. I got a door panel in decent shape from a jy that although is the wrong color, will still work for now. I will keep an eye out for any door panels in the jy that are in better shape than the ones I got, matching color would definitely be a plus. Ive replaced the CDR, the ignition cylinder, lock cylinders, carpet, window regulators and motors, the broken door latch cable, as well as the lock actuators. I also fixed the wiring issues that I could see, and replaced most of the bulbs. Got new taillights to replace the old broken ones, and got some decent jy headlight bezels to replace the cracked and faded ones the truck currently has. I still need a '93 steering wheel, a new headboard and headliner (will be tackling those next) and a few other small things before I can get the truck running again. I plan on getting the seats repaired (was wayyy too expensive to reupholster) and doing some serious cleaning inside and out. Next will come a decent sound system, 4 speakers and a new head unit at the minimum. After that next will be a gauge pod install. That all should keep me busy into July I figure. After that I will tackle the GP system and all the other $#&@ that needs to be fixed with this truck.

Lol me too. I already have a new headliner itself but upon further inspection it looks like the headboard is shot so I will be needing to replace that before I can think about putting the new headliner on. From what I have heard putting a new headliner in should be fairly straightforward, but I have no idea about the headboard. Looks like I'll be doing some research!

No no no. No sarcasm at all I want to know how you do it. I want to get rid of my blue interior and want to see how to go about it.

If you want them, I have a pair of OEM style headlights that you can have. They aren't the greatest with output, but they have to be better than the clouded ones you have now. The lenses still look like new as well. I just pulled them off my truck when I did the HID projector's. If your interested, they are yours.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic at all Crewcabber, but I have a bad habit of coming across like that more often than not. Gotten me in trouble several times So apologies there if I seemed sarcastic twas not my intention. This is the first time for me doing a headliner and will be a learning process no doubt. From what I have read/seen it appears that you remove all the interior paneling, then the headboard and liner should drop down as a unit. Though I have no idea how im gonna get the dome light off, I will have to inspect it closer. Then it's a matter of taking off the old fabric and wrapping the new around the board without creasing it. However I have no idea if this is the case or not, so I will be sure to report back my findings.

Evan, that would be awesome if you would be so kind as to give me your old lights. The ones I have on there now are TERRIBLE, even with new bulbs I can't see worth a darn.

You and me both cman. I thought you thought I was being sarcastic. As far as your dome lights if they are like mine. There are only three screws holding them . Take a picture of them
