Railfans.....cleaning out my SIL's house. She was an engineer for the SP, then UP. She must have filched 100 of those 6v lantern/flashlights, other lights, bags of schedules and engine info. That a a good SP jacket.
We tossed a lot of it, but the schedules and books....anybody collect that stuff? I haven't really looked at it, but would if anyone has any interest. I could PM a better description.

Overland Brass Union Pacific Mobile Laboratory 210
Here is Union Pacific's Version of a Dynamometer Car which it dubbed a Mobile Laboratory to test and observe motive power. I particulary like it's "mini-dome" and the large "Atomic" symbol on the side of the car. This car was converted from a 1940's Pullman by the UP in 1964. It was used into the 1990's. It was put out of service ans was seen in Council Bluffs until showing up @ UP's steam shop in the 2000's where it remains, fate uncertain but safe.

Great to see the green hills there Bill. Looks like the same parking spot we used in 2014?
I love that Relive program at the end to summarize. Thanks for putting that together for us.
Also nice to think about Steve and reminisce about the fun trips we took.

Hi Bill, The Cesar Chavez center has been there a good while. I first visited in 2010 I believe, was visiting Tehachapi for a Fiero owners picnic and we took a drive out that way. The C.C. center has a well tended garden area but is rather un-informative without the visitor center being open. Several buildings on site that appear to be worker residences, kitchen, chapel... but no information signs indicating so. The town of Keene is right next to the center so some of the buildings might not belong to the center.
No cost to enter so if you are close it is worth a look-see.
