87 to 85 part swap out

I have a 1987 bronco I blew up the motor body is rusted to bad to repair so I bought a 1985 I am wondering what I parts I can keep from my 87 to put on my 85 .

well the running gear can be swapped although the 87 probably has the top hat hub design which isn't desirable. those hubs are hard to find in good shape so you could sell them for as much if not more than a new set of warn hubs.
the efi wiring harness is different between those years so frankly none of that could be moved over. the tops are interchangeable as is most of the interior. Transmission and Tcase could also be swapped.

Most of the drivetrain parts should be swappable, axles, transfer case, transmission, suspension parts, steering column, pretty much all the hard parts will either be a direct fit or a close fit with some fabbing involved.

OK perfect thank u guys I want to salvage as much as possible they are getting harder to get parts for here in Edmonton Alberta and anyone that has them are not willing to part with any of there parts the hubs were changed out three years ago because of problems

Get both bumpers too, I'm not sure about the front one, but the rear step bumper is a HUGE improvement over the previous design and it should be easy to mount. Btw, Welcome to FTE!.

Thanks man I have been trying to find a site like this where other people love these rigs as much as I do and I have found it finally . I have real nice after market bumpers on it

Do any one know if my back glass and door will fit From my 87 to my 85 because I bought booth of the brand new two years ago

Yes, the whole tailgate and glass will interchange

Perfect thanks phil I paid almost a thousand for both of them two years ago and was hoping to b able to keep them for back up parts
