Yeah I tried finding my heater wire and I can't find that thing anywhere (I swapped my 96 7.3 for an 01) so I'm going to tap into fuse 5 which is apparently the ignition itself or something like that.

Byron, I'm using the keyed power wire that was for fuel heater. It also has two wires that go to the battery. With the wire harness I got from Strictly Diesel its long enough to go back to the pump. It has a oil pressure switch (carquest part # ECC 53-33507) and a relay that allows the pump to run 20 seconds to start the motor. After that 20 seconds the pump quits. This is good if you want the key on for some reason. If your having trouble starting, all you have to do is turn it off and back on. On my first attempt to be 'safe' with the Irate system I got a inertia switch that failed so I got this wiring kit. Tomorrow I'm going to get a new op switch.

You can't flood a diesel with the pump running.

Glenn, thanks for the input! I am not sure if Bill will send me a write up of sorts on how to install everything. It all seems fairly straight forward, but that was one of my questions. I also wonder how hooking up the regulator will go, but I am not worried. I am guessing when i actually see it all, it will make sense to me. If not, get ready for lots of texts!! LOL!!!
