I need the part numbers for a 1968 f-100 with a 390: Fan, fan shroud and fan clutch. I would like to convert over to this from a direct drive fan with no clutch.

 

With A/C is when Ford put a fan clutch on 'em. Adding A/C did not change the shroud. With or Without (Super)Extra cooling package did. So if you have no shroud now,to look it up I would have to know if you have the extra cooling package radiator or not. The shroud's mounting holes would be 15" high or 21 3/8" high.C4SZ8A616B......fan clutch...replaced by EOMY8A616A. You'll also need the smaller water pump pulley 6.3/8"-6.3/4" to keep it running cool in stop & go driving. The stock 7.1/4"+ and you'll heat up. Best if you can get the complete setup.

If you use the D4TE fans & clutch they have a larger bolt pattern. Than the earlier fan & clutches models. The water pump snout hole is lager and you'll need a reducer for the smaller FE 5/8" snout. for alignment when going with the D4 that come with 460-400.

The water pump flange bolt pattern is the same as fe's. to the 460, 351,400 with AC is what I'm running 19.1/2" 7 blades 180* thermostat never gets pass 190* much over 185* tho.

If you have AC then you'll need to use a fan clutch for AC not the one for non AC. As they are a little different. The non AC is more of a free spinning one. Where as the AC clutch seems to be engaged all the time for pulling air through the radiator and condensor at stop & go driving..

I was using a fan & clutch with matching pulley 6.3/8 from a 1967 wagon 18" fan for 25 yrs with my supper cool Rad never a problem. Then added AC and changed to a newer bigger clutch & fan..

1968/76 F100/350 360/390 Super Cooling Radiator: 26 1/4" wide x 24 1/4" high.

The radiator support used with this radiator is different as it has a larger opening radius. 1967/72 use different radiator supports than 1973/79.

C7TZ-8146-B .. Super Cooling Radiator Fan Shroud / Marked on upper left corner: C7TA-8146-H or D2TA-8146-HA or D3TA-8146-JA / Reproduced.

Both these shrouds are repro'd by Carpenter. These two Ford part numbers and the dimensions for these shrouds are listed/illustrated in his 1967/79 truck repro parts catalog.

 

Ok. I have the 26 1/2 by 19 1/2 high radiator and the fan shroud holes are 15" apart from top to bottom. I found the fan shroud at DC but I can't find the fan or the fan clutch. Most places say NLA.

 

Didn't you try the following sources that JEFFAFA gave you?

I added the center hole diameter on the fan and changed DC's phone number to an 800 number. Added additional sources for the fan clutch, included sources for the original part number.
